The Bureau of Educator Recruitment, Development and Retention provides assistance to teacher candidates, teacher educators, and school district staff through the evaluation and coordination of a variety of programs and services for attracting, developing and retaining a high performing professional education workforce to directly impact increased student performance.

Provides leadership in coordinating and facilitating a state system of review for initial and continuing state approval of Teacher Preparation Programs, Educational Leadership Programs, and Educator Preparation Institutes at community colleges, four year colleges and universities in Florida. Coordinates the state report of teacher preparation programs for the Title II, Higher Education Act Ph.D.
