Model Professional Development Programs

• Clinical Educator
  This training program provides direct training for peer coaches and clinical supervisors of teachers and student services personnel, as well as training for the preparation and maintenance of the program's statewide trainer cadre. The program provides training to develop clinical skills in diagnosis of developing professional's performance, feedback on performance, and the planning and implementation of professional development plans.



• The William Cecil Golden School Leadership Development Program
  This program was established by the 2006 Florida Legislature to provide a high quality, competency-based, customized, comprehensive and coordinated statewide professional development system for current and emerging school leaders. The program is aligned with and supports Florida's Principal Leadership Standards, the standards of the National Staff Development Council, the Florida Professional Development Protocol Standards and NCLB requirements for high quality professional development.



• Classroom Walkthrough Training
  Training in the Classroom Walk-Through process is provided by 100+ certified instructors in school districts statewide through the WCG School Leadership Program. WCG provides the training for instructors, training materials for district training and on-going follow-up support to school leaders in participating districts.



• Professional Development Decisions using Data (PD3)
  Training and use of this tool provides a snapshot of teaching and learning in the reading, science and mathematics classroom; instructional strategies essential for monitoring effective reading, science and mathematics instruction by school leaders and data-driven collaborative inquiry to provide a more in-depth picture of instruction that can be used by educators to assist in meeting specific benchmarks included in State Standards for reading, science and mathematics.
