Education Commissioner Smith to Participate in Take Stock in Children Rally

Education Commissioner Eric J. Smith today will join Governor Charlie Crist at the 2008 Take Stock in Children Rally in Tally. The rally will take place on the steps of the old Capitol where more than a thousand students, mentors and sponsors will gather to honor the mentoring and scholarship program and its partners for their commitment to provide low-income, at-risk children with the promise of a college scholarship and the guidance of a caring mentor.
