Certification Pathways

Florida offers a number of pathways to certification which are depicted in our two Certification Pathways Charts.

The Professional Preparation Pathways Chart shows the various teacher preparation options that can lead to the full Professional Certificate.

The second pathways chart outlines the various Pathways to the Temporary and Professional Certificates. Specifically, this chart shows (1) the direct routes to a full Professional Certificate, (2) the pathways to a Temporary Certificate, and (3) the options to move from the Temporary Certificate to the Professional Certificate. Please see Certificate Types and Requirements for a description of the Temporary and Professional Certificates and the requirements for each.
