Executive Director

Responsible for planning, organizing and directing the activities and functions of the state’s choice programs, including charter schools, home education, virtual education, private schools, Corporate Tax Credit scholarship program, McKay Scholarships for Students with Disabilities Program, and the Opportunity Scholarship Program (public school option), as well as disseminating information related to choice programs to the public on behalf of the Commissioner and the Department of Education.

Candidates must have: strong leadership and organizational skills, excellent communication skills, ability to work independently and be self motivating, and be committed to education reform that provides educational choice for parents. Must also have a comprehensive knowledge of federal regulations and laws relating to No Child Left Behind and school choice.

Master’s degree preferred
Salary range: $75,000 - $115,000
