Bureau of Student Assistance No Child Left Behind Monitoring Site
The purpose of this web site is to provide information and work papers pertaining to NCLB monitoring for the 2007-08 cycle. The signed certification for LEAs completing the self-evaluation, complete work papers and supporting documentation for desktop monitored LEAs, and system improvement plans, if applicable, are due November 15, 2007. Work papers and supporting documentation will be due December 3, 2007 for onsite monitored LEAs. Desktop monitoring is tentatively scheduled for the end of November and the beginning of December. Onsite monitoring is tentatively scheduled for January, 2008.
We encourage you to organize the documents that will be required for all monitoring, regardless of the type required for your district. One change we anticipate for desktop and onsite monitoring is requiring copies of documents provided as evidence of compliance on CD-ROMs, rather than paper copies. We will, however, also be asking you to maintain paper copies of all evidence if your district is scheduled for onsite monitoring this year.
